liquid steel

sculpture of indian larry who was a great bike builder i only knew from tv. he died six years ago while performing his signature stand-on-the-bike-while-going-very-fast stunt.

super hot chicks suck bang and blow

i am almost ready for myrtle beach bike week, which some how lives on despite the town's best efforts to shut er down. we always cruise to the suck bang blow bar for beers, burnouts and etc. this year, the chicks will be hotter than ever: freaky women blowing fire (and tending bar) will be the big draw. note to self: stay out of their line of fire!

bike week is over

yeah...bike week is over so i came home...without a new bike this time. myrtle beach bike week is really done, but it was great to get out of town for a few days and a change of pace is a good thing...probably my last year... we did a lot of riding and added a lot of miles, ate some decent food and generally had a great time. on the way home, big black kept flashing the "check engine" light: i am a little concerned...wondering if it has anything to do with the salt air.

bike week(s)

i am getting everything ready to head south for myrtle beach bike week-or what's left of it! it's sad that one of the country's oldest rallies has been so down-sized because the dollar bills of 300,000 bikers are not good enough for the town of myrtle beach...interesting point in history to decide to limit revenue...i am still going, and so are a lot of people to the myrtle beach spring fling because the weather is good, the people are nice and the rides are great: just not going near actual myrtle beach (again). there are a lot of places that welcome bikers with open arms, however!
bike week new orleans: may 5-9 it's just the second annual!
myrtle beach spring fling: may 7-16 you are not welcome here
black bike week: may 22-25 you are also not welcome here
gettysburg bike week: july 8-11 been here: needs work
little sturgis: july 10-18 it's in kentucky
sturgis motorcycle rally: august 9-15 seventy years...really?
killington classic rally 2010: september 9-12 ben and jerry's? what?
delmarva bike week: september 16-19 seems to rain really hard every year
reno street vibrations: september 22-26 my in-laws got married here
myrtle beach fall rally:  september 29-october 3 again?
las vegas bikefest: september 30-october 3 10th annual
south padre island bikefest: october 8-10 sounds hot!
biketoberfest: october 14-17
