" This fuel-injected engine takes full advantage of YCC-T (Yamaha The silencer is a single expansion type, and the sound coming through from the unique crossplane crankshaft- equipped engine is unlike any other inline-four cylinder production supersport. " The exhaust system is meticulously designed to enhance engine output while, thanks to its three-way catalyst technology, also reducing exhaust emissions. " Slipper-type back torque-limiting clutch greatly facilitates braking/downshifting from high speed. This contributes to outstanding power delivery characteristics in the high-speed range, while the design also helps to minimize intake noise. " A forced-air intake system is adopted to increase intake efficiency by using the natural airflow during riding to pressurize the air in the air box. Titanium intake valves are lightweight. " This engine features forged aluminum pistons to take maximum advantage of the power characteristics. " To maximize rider comfort as well as power output, the engine adopts a coupling-type balancer that rotates in the opposite direction as the crankshaft. Instead, combustion torque continues to build, giving the rider more linear throttle response with awesome power and traction out of the corners. This overcomes the inherent fluctuations in inertial torque during each engine revolution, and the accompanying peaky torque characteristics. Unlike typical inline-four engine design, where the two outer and two inner pistons move together in pairs with 180° intervals, the crossplane crankshaft has each connecting rod 90° with a unique firing order of 270° - 180° - 90° - 180°. Crotch rocket users are getting more bold and brazen nowadays.
Authorities are on the lookout for a brazen biker who likes to harass horse riders.
Twice in the past month, a teen on a sport motorcycle has confronted equestrian trail riders in Copper Canyon and revved his engine in an attempt to scare their horses and throw the rider, according to town officials.
Motorcycles are not allowed on the trails, which are located on Army Corps of Engineers land.
The first incident was reported at the end of January. The second incident occurred on Feb. 3rd around 3:00 p.m. on the trail just east of Chinn Chapel Road.
The "crotch rocket" type sports bike is painted yellow and purple or dark blue. The suspect is described as a slim male between 14-16 years old and around 5' 6" tall. He wore a dark helmet with a full mask so his face was not visible. Witnesses said that his helmet, clothes and bike appeared new.

รัฐบาลขิงแก่ได้ที หลังผลักดันอีโคคาร์สำเร็จ เตรียมผลักดันโครงการสนับสนุนไทย เป็นฐานการผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดใหญ่ หรือบิ๊กไบค์ ตั้งแต่ขนาดเครื่องยนต์ 500 ซีซีขึ้นไป หลังจากค่ายรถระดับนำของโลกจากอังกฤษ “ไทรอัมพ์” ตัดสินใจนำเม็ดเงินกว่า 3,500 ล้านบาท ลงทุนตั้งโรงงานผลิตชิ้นส่วนและประกอบในไทย ที่จังหวัดระยอง
และแน่นอนแผนผลักดันดังกล่าว ย่อมต้องได้รับความสนใจจากค่ายรถยักษ์ใหญ่จากญี่ปุ่น ที่ปัจจุบันยึดตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดเล็กในไทยอยู่ เพราะก่อนหน้านี้ประกาศรุกตลาดบิ๊กไบค์แล้ว โดย “ยามาฮ่า” ลุยแน่นอนปลายปีนี้ พร้อมลงทุนกว่า 15 ล้านบาท เปิดโชว์รูมรองรับโดยเฉพาะ ขณะที่เจ้าตลาด “ฮอนด้า” แม้จะยังสงวนท่าที แต่ก็รับกำลังศึกษาแผนนำผลิตภัณฑ์ประเภทใหม่ๆ รวมถึงบิ๊กไบค์ หรือสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาดใหญ่มาเสริมตลาดเช่นกัน
หลังจากรัฐบาลขิงแก่ภายใต้การนำของ “พล.อ.สุรยุทธ์ จุลานนท์” นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้ผลักดันโครงการรถประหยัดพลังงานมาตรฐานสากล หรืออีโคคาร์ คลอดออกมาเป็นรูปเป็นร่าง และก็มีค่ายรถ “ฮอนด้า” เด้งรับลูกประกาศลงทุนไปแล้ว ด้วยมูลค่าโครงการกว่า 6.2 พันล้านบาท และยังมีอีกหลายค่ายที่สนใจเช่นกัน เพียงแต่ต้องขอศึกษาตามกรอบเวลาที่รัฐบาลเปิดโอกาสให้ จึงยังไม่เปิดตัวออกมาชัดเจนเท่านั้น
โครงการอีโคคาร์จึงทำให้รัฐบาลขิงแก่ยิ้มแป้นทีเดียว และจะว่าไปแล้วถือเป็นผลงานชิ้นแรก ที่รัฐบาลขิงแก่ดำเนินการสำเร็จเป็นรูปธรรมชัดเจนก็ว่าได้ นี่จึงทำให้รัฐบาลขิงแก่ดูเหมือนจะคึกคักสุดขีด และเตรียมผลักดันโครงการใหม่ออกมาเสียบต่ออีโคคาร์ทันที
โดยรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่ากระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม “โฆสิต ปั้นเปี่ยมรัษฏ์” เปิดเผยภายหลังจากการเดินทางไปเยือนสหราชอาณาจักรและอิตาลี่ ระหว่างวันที่ 25-29 กรกฏคมที่ผ่านมาว่า
จากการพูดคุยกับ นายจอห์น บลัวร์ ประธานบริษัท ไทรอัมพ์ มอเตอร์ไซเคิลส์ ผู้ผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดใหญ่ หรือบิ๊กไบค์ อันดับ 7 ของโลก ภายใต้ชื่อยี่ห้อ “ไทรอัมพ์” ทราบว่าให้ความสนใจลงทุนในไทยเป็นมูลค่ากว่า 3,500 ล้านบาท ภายในระยะเวลา 3 ปี ในการสร้างโรงงานผลิตชิ้นส่วนบิ๊กไบค์ และทำการประกอบ ที่จังหวัดระยอง โดยจะเริ่มผลิตเครื่องยนต์ในปี 2551 เป็นต้นไป
"จากการลงทุนของไทรอัมพ์ดังกล่าว ทำให้รัฐบาลสนใจที่จะขยายฐานการผลิตรถบิ๊กไบค์ เพื่อให้ครบวงจรมากขึ้น จากปัจจุบันไทยเป็นฐานการผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดเล็กที่สำคัญของโลกแล้ว โดยให้นายสาธิต ชาญเชาวน์กุล เลขาธิการคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุน หรือบีโอไอ กำหนดแผนส่งเสริมการลงทนผลิตมอเตอร์ไซค์ขนาดใหญ่ ที่มีเครื่องยนต์ขนาด 500 ซีซีขึ้นไป ซึ่งทั่วโลกมีความต้องการมากกว่า 100,000 คันต่อปี"
ส่วนการกำหนดรายละเอียดการส่งเสริมการลงทุนคล้ายกับการผลิตรถยนต์อีโคคาร์ เพื่อให้ไทยเป็นฐานการผลิตรถบิ๊กไบค์ของโลก และมั่นใจว่านอกเหนือจากไทรอัมพ์แล้ว ยังมีผู้ผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ในไทยอีก 2-3 ราย ที่จะให้ความสนใจนโยบายดังกล่าว คาดว่าแผนการส่งเสริมการลงทุนจะแล้วเสร็จในเร็วๆ นี้
นั่นคือไอเดียบรรเจิดของรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีอุตสาหกรรม ซึ่งกลับมามีความมั่นใจอย่างเต็มเปี่ยม ภายหลังจากผลักดันโครงการอีโคคาร์แจ้งเกิดสำเร็จ และจะว่าไปแล้วโอกาสผลักดันโครงการบิ๊กไบค์ให้สำเร็จ ดูจะง่ายกว่าอีโคคาร์เสียด้วยซ้ำ
ทั้งนี้ปริมาณตลาดรถบิ๊กไบค์ในไทยเองก็ไม่ได้ใหญ่โตนัก การที่ไทรอัมพ์มาลงทุนผลิตชิ้นส่วนและประกอบในไทย คงน่าจะมาจากเรื่องของอัตราค่าแรงของไทยไม่สูงมาก ขณะที่ศักยภาพของผู้ผลิตชิ้นส่วนอยู่ในระดับมาตรฐานสากลอยู่แล้ว การมาตั้งโรงงานในไทยจึงมุ่งที่การส่งออกมากกว่า การชิงหักเหลี่ยมโหดของค่ายรถจักรยานยนต์เจ้าเก่าและเจ้าใหม่ จึงไม่น่าจะรุนแรงมากเหมือนกับรถยนต์ ยิ่งเมื่อรัฐบาลมีนโยบายสนับสนุนเป็นกรณีพิเศษคล้ายกับอีโคคาร์ จึงน่าจะทำให้แต่ละค่ายตอบรับด้วยดี
ในส่วนของไทรอัมพ์เป็นบิ๊กไบค์ที่เพิ่งเข้ามารุกตลาดไทยอย่างจริงจัง เมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคมที่ผ่านมา หลังจากมีการชิมลางมาได้ระยะหนึ่ง ด้วยการแต่งตั้งบริษัท บริทไบค์ จำกัด ภายใต้การนำของพระเอกร่างบึก “ดอม เหตระกูล” และเพื่อนๆ เป็นผู้แทนจำหน่ายแต่เพียงผู้เดียวในไทย
สำหรับระยะแรกนี้บริทไบค์จะนำเข้าบิ๊กไบค์ไทรอัมพ์มาทำตลาดก่อน โดยในการเปิดตัวบริษัทอย่างเป็นทางการ ได้ประกาศจะนำเข้ารถมาทำตลาดในไทยทั้งสิ้น 12 รุ่น ครอบคลุม 3 สไตล์ การขับขี่ของผู้บริโภค ได้แก่ รถแบบโมเดิร์น คลาสสิค ซึ่งขับขี่ง่ายมีรุ่น Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Scramble และ Thruxton อีกแบบรถสปอร์ต เช่นรุ่น Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Sprint ST และ Tiger 1050 และสุดท้ายแบบครุยเซอร์ไลน์ซุปเปอร์เดินทางไกล อาทิ America, Speed Master, Rocket 3 และ Rocket 3 Classic
โดยบิ๊กไบค์ไทรอัมพ์ที่นำเข้ามาจำหน่าย จะมีราคาเริ่มต้นตั้งแต่คันละ 5 แสนบาท ไปจนถึง 1.2 ล้านบาท โดยบริทไบค์ รับประกัน 2 ปี ไม่จำกัดระยะทาง โดยในส่วนของเครือข่ายนอกจากในกรุงเทพฯ ภายในสิ้นปีนี้เตรียมจะขยายครอบคลุมหัวเมืองใหญ่ เชียงใหม่ ภูเก็ต และพัทยาด้วย
ต่อไปนี้คงต้องจับตาบิ๊กไบค์ยี่ห้อนี้ให้ดี แม้ปัจจุบันชื่อเสียงไทรอัมพ์ในเมืองไทย จะรู้จักกันเพียงเฉพาะกลุ่มเท่านั้น แต่หากรัฐบาลขิงแก่ผลักดันและให้การสนับสนุนบิ๊กไบค์กรณีพิเศษสำเร็จ เชื่อว่าไทรอัมพ์จะประกาศศักดาแบรนด์รถระดับโลกให้ชาวไทยได้รับรู้กันมากกว่านี้แน่ๆ
อย่างไรก็ตาม ใช่ว่าบรรดาค่ายรถยักษ์ใหญ่สัญชาติญี่ปุ่น จะปล่อยตลาดนี้ให้กับค่ายรถสัญชาติยุโรป อย่างไทรอัมพ์ที่กำลังเดินหน้าทั้งผลิตและขายในไทย หรือบีเอ็มดับเบิลยูที่ทำตลาดในไทยมาได้ระหนึ่งแล้ว เพราะบรรดารถจักรยานยนต์ญี่ปุ่นได้ให้ความสนใจรุกตลาดบิ๊กไบค์อย่างจริงจังเช่นกัน
เริ่มจาก “ยามาฮ่า” ที่ประกาศชัดเจนปีนี้ทำตลาดบิ๊กไบค์แน่นอน โดยในงานมอเตอร์โชว์เมื่อเดือนเมษายนที่ผ่านมา ได้มีการนำบิ๊กไบค์ถึง 6 รุ่นมาเผยโฉมให้ลูกค้าได้ยลโฉม ก่อนเปิดขายอย่างเป็นทางการช่วงปลายปีนี้ ที่สำคัญได้ลงทุนเตรียมเปิดโชว์รูมมูลค่ากว่า 15 ล้านบาท ที่บริเวณด้านหลังศูนย์การค้าเอสพลานาด บนถนนรัชดาภิเษก เพื่อรองรับการทำตลาดบิ๊กไบค์เพียงอย่างเดียว ขณะที่ต่างจังหวัดเล็งขยายไปที่เชียงใหม่ และพัทยา เช่นเดียวกับไทรอัมพ์เพราะมีกลุ่มลูกค้าเป้าหมายจำนวนมาก
“บิ๊กไบค์ยามาฮ่าที่จะนำมาจำหน่าย มีตั้งแต่ขนาด 400-1300 ซีซี ราคาเริ่มต้นที่ 2-3 แสนบาทขึ้นไป แม้ตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ในไทยจะหดตัว แต่บิ๊กไบค์เจาะตลาดเฉพาะกลุ่มลูกค้าที่ชื่นชอบรถประเภทนี้พิเศษ ราคาจึงไม่เป็นอุปสรรค์แต่อย่างใด โดยช่วงแรกยามาฮ่าตั้งเป้าขายเดือนละประมาณ 20 คัน”
จินตนา อุดมทรัพย์ ผู้จัดการใหญ่ด้านการค้า บริษัท ไทยยามาฮ่า มอเตอร์ จำกัด กล่าวและว่า โดยรถที่จะนำเข้ามาทำตลาดคาดว่าจะเป็นรุ่น Majesty 400 บิ๊กสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาด 400 ซีซี รุ่น YZF-R1 บิ๊กไบค์ขนาด 998 ซีซี รุ่น YZF-R6 ซูเปอร์สปอร์ตจากสนามแข่ง 599 ซีซี รุ่น FZ1 Fazer ขนาด 998 ซีซี FZ6 เครื่องยนต์ 600 ซีซี และรุ่น FJR1300A ขนาดเครื่องยนต์ 1298 ซีซี
ส่วนค่ายยักษ์ใหญ่ “ฮอนด้า” แม้จะยังไม่เผยไต๋ชัดเจนนัก ประกอบกับยังไม่ทราบถึงไอเดียผลักดันให้มีการผลิตบิ๊กไบค์ในไทย โดยการสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมการลงทุนเป็นกรณีพิเศษจากรัฐบาลชิงแก่ แต่ก่อนหน้านี้ก็แย้มออกมาถึงความสนใจที่จะขยายผลิตภัณฑ์ประเภทใหม่ๆ สู่ตลาดในไทย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นบิ๊กไบค์ หรือสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาดใหญ่
“หากมองสภาวะตลาดขณะนี้ บิกไบค์และสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาดใหญ่ ยังถือเป็นรถเฉพาะกลุ่มอยู่ แต่อนาคตก็ย่อมต้องขยายตัวมากขึ้น ส่วนจะเป็นเมื่อไหร่ฮอนด้ากำลังศึกษาอยู่ ซึ่งในการเพิ่มไลน์สินค้าของฮอนด้า ขึ้นอยู่กับความต้องการของลูกค้าเป็นหลัก และแน่นอนก็ย่อมต้องเปลี่ยนแปลงไปเรื่อยๆ เมื่อถึงเวลาตลาดรถประเภทนี้เมื่อไหร่ ฮอนด้าก็พร้อมที่จะทำตลาดเช่นกัน” ชินโกะ คิมาตะ กรรมการบรหารและผู้จัดการทั่วไปฝ่ายการตลาด บริษัท เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า จำกัดกล่าว
จากความเคลื่อนไหวของสองค่ายยักษ์ใหญ่รถจักรยานยนต์ในไทย โดยเฉพาะยามาฮ่าที่มีความชัดเจนแน่นอน กับการทำตลาดบิ๊กไบค์ในไทย หรือฮอนด้าที่แม้ะยังตอบแบบสงวนท่าทีอยู่ แต่ก็ยืนยันพร้อมจะทำตลาดเช่นกัน หากตลาดมีความต้องการ
เหตุนี้เมื่อรัฐบาลขิงแก่ประกาศนโยบายชัดเจน ที่จะผลักดันให้ไทยเป็นฐานการผลิตบิ๊กไบค์ของโลก ด้วยการสนับสนุนส่งเสริมเป็นกรณีพิเศษ เช่นเดียวกับอีโคคาร์ จึงน่าจะทำให้สองค่ายยักษ์ใหญ่ ที่มีโรงงานผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ในไทยใหญ่ติดอันดับต้นๆ ของโลก พร้อมที่จะตอบรับทันทีเช่นกัน

และแน่นอนแผนผลักดันดังกล่าว ย่อมต้องได้รับความสนใจจากค่ายรถยักษ์ใหญ่จากญี่ปุ่น ที่ปัจจุบันยึดตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดเล็กในไทยอยู่ เพราะก่อนหน้านี้ประกาศรุกตลาดบิ๊กไบค์แล้ว โดย “ยามาฮ่า” ลุยแน่นอนปลายปีนี้ พร้อมลงทุนกว่า 15 ล้านบาท เปิดโชว์รูมรองรับโดยเฉพาะ ขณะที่เจ้าตลาด “ฮอนด้า” แม้จะยังสงวนท่าที แต่ก็รับกำลังศึกษาแผนนำผลิตภัณฑ์ประเภทใหม่ๆ รวมถึงบิ๊กไบค์ หรือสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาดใหญ่มาเสริมตลาดเช่นกัน
หลังจากรัฐบาลขิงแก่ภายใต้การนำของ “พล.อ.สุรยุทธ์ จุลานนท์” นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้ผลักดันโครงการรถประหยัดพลังงานมาตรฐานสากล หรืออีโคคาร์ คลอดออกมาเป็นรูปเป็นร่าง และก็มีค่ายรถ “ฮอนด้า” เด้งรับลูกประกาศลงทุนไปแล้ว ด้วยมูลค่าโครงการกว่า 6.2 พันล้านบาท และยังมีอีกหลายค่ายที่สนใจเช่นกัน เพียงแต่ต้องขอศึกษาตามกรอบเวลาที่รัฐบาลเปิดโอกาสให้ จึงยังไม่เปิดตัวออกมาชัดเจนเท่านั้น
โครงการอีโคคาร์จึงทำให้รัฐบาลขิงแก่ยิ้มแป้นทีเดียว และจะว่าไปแล้วถือเป็นผลงานชิ้นแรก ที่รัฐบาลขิงแก่ดำเนินการสำเร็จเป็นรูปธรรมชัดเจนก็ว่าได้ นี่จึงทำให้รัฐบาลขิงแก่ดูเหมือนจะคึกคักสุดขีด และเตรียมผลักดันโครงการใหม่ออกมาเสียบต่ออีโคคาร์ทันที
โดยรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่ากระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม “โฆสิต ปั้นเปี่ยมรัษฏ์” เปิดเผยภายหลังจากการเดินทางไปเยือนสหราชอาณาจักรและอิตาลี่ ระหว่างวันที่ 25-29 กรกฏคมที่ผ่านมาว่า
จากการพูดคุยกับ นายจอห์น บลัวร์ ประธานบริษัท ไทรอัมพ์ มอเตอร์ไซเคิลส์ ผู้ผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดใหญ่ หรือบิ๊กไบค์ อันดับ 7 ของโลก ภายใต้ชื่อยี่ห้อ “ไทรอัมพ์” ทราบว่าให้ความสนใจลงทุนในไทยเป็นมูลค่ากว่า 3,500 ล้านบาท ภายในระยะเวลา 3 ปี ในการสร้างโรงงานผลิตชิ้นส่วนบิ๊กไบค์ และทำการประกอบ ที่จังหวัดระยอง โดยจะเริ่มผลิตเครื่องยนต์ในปี 2551 เป็นต้นไป
"จากการลงทุนของไทรอัมพ์ดังกล่าว ทำให้รัฐบาลสนใจที่จะขยายฐานการผลิตรถบิ๊กไบค์ เพื่อให้ครบวงจรมากขึ้น จากปัจจุบันไทยเป็นฐานการผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดเล็กที่สำคัญของโลกแล้ว โดยให้นายสาธิต ชาญเชาวน์กุล เลขาธิการคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุน หรือบีโอไอ กำหนดแผนส่งเสริมการลงทนผลิตมอเตอร์ไซค์ขนาดใหญ่ ที่มีเครื่องยนต์ขนาด 500 ซีซีขึ้นไป ซึ่งทั่วโลกมีความต้องการมากกว่า 100,000 คันต่อปี"
ส่วนการกำหนดรายละเอียดการส่งเสริมการลงทุนคล้ายกับการผลิตรถยนต์อีโคคาร์ เพื่อให้ไทยเป็นฐานการผลิตรถบิ๊กไบค์ของโลก และมั่นใจว่านอกเหนือจากไทรอัมพ์แล้ว ยังมีผู้ผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ในไทยอีก 2-3 ราย ที่จะให้ความสนใจนโยบายดังกล่าว คาดว่าแผนการส่งเสริมการลงทุนจะแล้วเสร็จในเร็วๆ นี้
นั่นคือไอเดียบรรเจิดของรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีอุตสาหกรรม ซึ่งกลับมามีความมั่นใจอย่างเต็มเปี่ยม ภายหลังจากผลักดันโครงการอีโคคาร์แจ้งเกิดสำเร็จ และจะว่าไปแล้วโอกาสผลักดันโครงการบิ๊กไบค์ให้สำเร็จ ดูจะง่ายกว่าอีโคคาร์เสียด้วยซ้ำ
ทั้งนี้ปริมาณตลาดรถบิ๊กไบค์ในไทยเองก็ไม่ได้ใหญ่โตนัก การที่ไทรอัมพ์มาลงทุนผลิตชิ้นส่วนและประกอบในไทย คงน่าจะมาจากเรื่องของอัตราค่าแรงของไทยไม่สูงมาก ขณะที่ศักยภาพของผู้ผลิตชิ้นส่วนอยู่ในระดับมาตรฐานสากลอยู่แล้ว การมาตั้งโรงงานในไทยจึงมุ่งที่การส่งออกมากกว่า การชิงหักเหลี่ยมโหดของค่ายรถจักรยานยนต์เจ้าเก่าและเจ้าใหม่ จึงไม่น่าจะรุนแรงมากเหมือนกับรถยนต์ ยิ่งเมื่อรัฐบาลมีนโยบายสนับสนุนเป็นกรณีพิเศษคล้ายกับอีโคคาร์ จึงน่าจะทำให้แต่ละค่ายตอบรับด้วยดี
ในส่วนของไทรอัมพ์เป็นบิ๊กไบค์ที่เพิ่งเข้ามารุกตลาดไทยอย่างจริงจัง เมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคมที่ผ่านมา หลังจากมีการชิมลางมาได้ระยะหนึ่ง ด้วยการแต่งตั้งบริษัท บริทไบค์ จำกัด ภายใต้การนำของพระเอกร่างบึก “ดอม เหตระกูล” และเพื่อนๆ เป็นผู้แทนจำหน่ายแต่เพียงผู้เดียวในไทย
สำหรับระยะแรกนี้บริทไบค์จะนำเข้าบิ๊กไบค์ไทรอัมพ์มาทำตลาดก่อน โดยในการเปิดตัวบริษัทอย่างเป็นทางการ ได้ประกาศจะนำเข้ารถมาทำตลาดในไทยทั้งสิ้น 12 รุ่น ครอบคลุม 3 สไตล์ การขับขี่ของผู้บริโภค ได้แก่ รถแบบโมเดิร์น คลาสสิค ซึ่งขับขี่ง่ายมีรุ่น Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Scramble และ Thruxton อีกแบบรถสปอร์ต เช่นรุ่น Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Sprint ST และ Tiger 1050 และสุดท้ายแบบครุยเซอร์ไลน์ซุปเปอร์เดินทางไกล อาทิ America, Speed Master, Rocket 3 และ Rocket 3 Classic
โดยบิ๊กไบค์ไทรอัมพ์ที่นำเข้ามาจำหน่าย จะมีราคาเริ่มต้นตั้งแต่คันละ 5 แสนบาท ไปจนถึง 1.2 ล้านบาท โดยบริทไบค์ รับประกัน 2 ปี ไม่จำกัดระยะทาง โดยในส่วนของเครือข่ายนอกจากในกรุงเทพฯ ภายในสิ้นปีนี้เตรียมจะขยายครอบคลุมหัวเมืองใหญ่ เชียงใหม่ ภูเก็ต และพัทยาด้วย
ต่อไปนี้คงต้องจับตาบิ๊กไบค์ยี่ห้อนี้ให้ดี แม้ปัจจุบันชื่อเสียงไทรอัมพ์ในเมืองไทย จะรู้จักกันเพียงเฉพาะกลุ่มเท่านั้น แต่หากรัฐบาลขิงแก่ผลักดันและให้การสนับสนุนบิ๊กไบค์กรณีพิเศษสำเร็จ เชื่อว่าไทรอัมพ์จะประกาศศักดาแบรนด์รถระดับโลกให้ชาวไทยได้รับรู้กันมากกว่านี้แน่ๆ
อย่างไรก็ตาม ใช่ว่าบรรดาค่ายรถยักษ์ใหญ่สัญชาติญี่ปุ่น จะปล่อยตลาดนี้ให้กับค่ายรถสัญชาติยุโรป อย่างไทรอัมพ์ที่กำลังเดินหน้าทั้งผลิตและขายในไทย หรือบีเอ็มดับเบิลยูที่ทำตลาดในไทยมาได้ระหนึ่งแล้ว เพราะบรรดารถจักรยานยนต์ญี่ปุ่นได้ให้ความสนใจรุกตลาดบิ๊กไบค์อย่างจริงจังเช่นกัน
เริ่มจาก “ยามาฮ่า” ที่ประกาศชัดเจนปีนี้ทำตลาดบิ๊กไบค์แน่นอน โดยในงานมอเตอร์โชว์เมื่อเดือนเมษายนที่ผ่านมา ได้มีการนำบิ๊กไบค์ถึง 6 รุ่นมาเผยโฉมให้ลูกค้าได้ยลโฉม ก่อนเปิดขายอย่างเป็นทางการช่วงปลายปีนี้ ที่สำคัญได้ลงทุนเตรียมเปิดโชว์รูมมูลค่ากว่า 15 ล้านบาท ที่บริเวณด้านหลังศูนย์การค้าเอสพลานาด บนถนนรัชดาภิเษก เพื่อรองรับการทำตลาดบิ๊กไบค์เพียงอย่างเดียว ขณะที่ต่างจังหวัดเล็งขยายไปที่เชียงใหม่ และพัทยา เช่นเดียวกับไทรอัมพ์เพราะมีกลุ่มลูกค้าเป้าหมายจำนวนมาก
“บิ๊กไบค์ยามาฮ่าที่จะนำมาจำหน่าย มีตั้งแต่ขนาด 400-1300 ซีซี ราคาเริ่มต้นที่ 2-3 แสนบาทขึ้นไป แม้ตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ในไทยจะหดตัว แต่บิ๊กไบค์เจาะตลาดเฉพาะกลุ่มลูกค้าที่ชื่นชอบรถประเภทนี้พิเศษ ราคาจึงไม่เป็นอุปสรรค์แต่อย่างใด โดยช่วงแรกยามาฮ่าตั้งเป้าขายเดือนละประมาณ 20 คัน”
จินตนา อุดมทรัพย์ ผู้จัดการใหญ่ด้านการค้า บริษัท ไทยยามาฮ่า มอเตอร์ จำกัด กล่าวและว่า โดยรถที่จะนำเข้ามาทำตลาดคาดว่าจะเป็นรุ่น Majesty 400 บิ๊กสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาด 400 ซีซี รุ่น YZF-R1 บิ๊กไบค์ขนาด 998 ซีซี รุ่น YZF-R6 ซูเปอร์สปอร์ตจากสนามแข่ง 599 ซีซี รุ่น FZ1 Fazer ขนาด 998 ซีซี FZ6 เครื่องยนต์ 600 ซีซี และรุ่น FJR1300A ขนาดเครื่องยนต์ 1298 ซีซี

ในส่วนของไทรอัมพ์เป็นบิ๊กไบค์ที่เพิ่งเข้ามารุกตลาดไทยอย่างจริงจัง เมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคมที่ผ่านมา หลังจากมีการชิมลางมาได้ระยะหนึ่ง ด้วยการแต่งตั้งบริษัท บริทไบค์ จำกัด ภายใต้การนำของพระเอกร่างบึก “ดอม เหตระกูล” และเพื่อนๆ เป็นผู้แทนจำหน่ายแต่เพียงผู้เดียวในไทย
สำหรับระยะแรกนี้บริทไบค์จะนำเข้าบิ๊กไบค์ไทรอัมพ์มาทำตลาดก่อน โดยในการเปิดตัวบริษัทอย่างเป็นทางการ ได้ประกาศจะนำเข้ารถมาทำตลาดในไทยทั้งสิ้น 12 รุ่น ครอบคลุม 3 สไตล์ การขับขี่ของผู้บริโภค ได้แก่ รถแบบโมเดิร์น คลาสสิค ซึ่งขับขี่ง่ายมีรุ่น Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Scramble และ Thruxton อีกแบบรถสปอร์ต เช่นรุ่น Daytona 675, Speed Triple, Sprint ST และ Tiger 1050 และสุดท้ายแบบครุยเซอร์ไลน์ซุปเปอร์เดินทางไกล อาทิ America, Speed Master, Rocket 3 และ Rocket 3 Classic
โดยบิ๊กไบค์ไทรอัมพ์ที่นำเข้ามาจำหน่าย จะมีราคาเริ่มต้นตั้งแต่คันละ 5 แสนบาท ไปจนถึง 1.2 ล้านบาท โดยบริทไบค์ รับประกัน 2 ปี ไม่จำกัดระยะทาง โดยในส่วนของเครือข่ายนอกจากในกรุงเทพฯ ภายในสิ้นปีนี้เตรียมจะขยายครอบคลุมหัวเมืองใหญ่ เชียงใหม่ ภูเก็ต และพัทยาด้วย
ต่อไปนี้คงต้องจับตาบิ๊กไบค์ยี่ห้อนี้ให้ดี แม้ปัจจุบันชื่อเสียงไทรอัมพ์ในเมืองไทย จะรู้จักกันเพียงเฉพาะกลุ่มเท่านั้น แต่หากรัฐบาลขิงแก่ผลักดันและให้การสนับสนุนบิ๊กไบค์กรณีพิเศษสำเร็จ เชื่อว่าไทรอัมพ์จะประกาศศักดาแบรนด์รถระดับโลกให้ชาวไทยได้รับรู้กันมากกว่านี้แน่ๆ
อย่างไรก็ตาม ใช่ว่าบรรดาค่ายรถยักษ์ใหญ่สัญชาติญี่ปุ่น จะปล่อยตลาดนี้ให้กับค่ายรถสัญชาติยุโรป อย่างไทรอัมพ์ที่กำลังเดินหน้าทั้งผลิตและขายในไทย หรือบีเอ็มดับเบิลยูที่ทำตลาดในไทยมาได้ระหนึ่งแล้ว เพราะบรรดารถจักรยานยนต์ญี่ปุ่นได้ให้ความสนใจรุกตลาดบิ๊กไบค์อย่างจริงจังเช่นกัน
เริ่มจาก “ยามาฮ่า” ที่ประกาศชัดเจนปีนี้ทำตลาดบิ๊กไบค์แน่นอน โดยในงานมอเตอร์โชว์เมื่อเดือนเมษายนที่ผ่านมา ได้มีการนำบิ๊กไบค์ถึง 6 รุ่นมาเผยโฉมให้ลูกค้าได้ยลโฉม ก่อนเปิดขายอย่างเป็นทางการช่วงปลายปีนี้ ที่สำคัญได้ลงทุนเตรียมเปิดโชว์รูมมูลค่ากว่า 15 ล้านบาท ที่บริเวณด้านหลังศูนย์การค้าเอสพลานาด บนถนนรัชดาภิเษก เพื่อรองรับการทำตลาดบิ๊กไบค์เพียงอย่างเดียว ขณะที่ต่างจังหวัดเล็งขยายไปที่เชียงใหม่ และพัทยา เช่นเดียวกับไทรอัมพ์เพราะมีกลุ่มลูกค้าเป้าหมายจำนวนมาก
“บิ๊กไบค์ยามาฮ่าที่จะนำมาจำหน่าย มีตั้งแต่ขนาด 400-1300 ซีซี ราคาเริ่มต้นที่ 2-3 แสนบาทขึ้นไป แม้ตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ในไทยจะหดตัว แต่บิ๊กไบค์เจาะตลาดเฉพาะกลุ่มลูกค้าที่ชื่นชอบรถประเภทนี้พิเศษ ราคาจึงไม่เป็นอุปสรรค์แต่อย่างใด โดยช่วงแรกยามาฮ่าตั้งเป้าขายเดือนละประมาณ 20 คัน”
จินตนา อุดมทรัพย์ ผู้จัดการใหญ่ด้านการค้า บริษัท ไทยยามาฮ่า มอเตอร์ จำกัด กล่าวและว่า โดยรถที่จะนำเข้ามาทำตลาดคาดว่าจะเป็นรุ่น Majesty 400 บิ๊กสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาด 400 ซีซี รุ่น YZF-R1 บิ๊กไบค์ขนาด 998 ซีซี รุ่น YZF-R6 ซูเปอร์สปอร์ตจากสนามแข่ง 599 ซีซี รุ่น FZ1 Fazer ขนาด 998 ซีซี FZ6 เครื่องยนต์ 600 ซีซี และรุ่น FJR1300A ขนาดเครื่องยนต์ 1298 ซีซี
ส่วนค่ายยักษ์ใหญ่ “ฮอนด้า” แม้จะยังไม่เผยไต๋ชัดเจนนัก ประกอบกับยังไม่ทราบถึงไอเดียผลักดันให้มีการผลิตบิ๊กไบค์ในไทย โดยการสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมการลงทุนเป็นกรณีพิเศษจากรัฐบาลชิงแก่ แต่ก่อนหน้านี้ก็แย้มออกมาถึงความสนใจที่จะขยายผลิตภัณฑ์ประเภทใหม่ๆ สู่ตลาดในไทย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นบิ๊กไบค์ หรือสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาดใหญ่
“หากมองสภาวะตลาดขณะนี้ บิกไบค์และสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาดใหญ่ ยังถือเป็นรถเฉพาะกลุ่มอยู่ แต่อนาคตก็ย่อมต้องขยายตัวมากขึ้น ส่วนจะเป็นเมื่อไหร่ฮอนด้ากำลังศึกษาอยู่ ซึ่งในการเพิ่มไลน์สินค้าของฮอนด้า ขึ้นอยู่กับความต้องการของลูกค้าเป็นหลัก และแน่นอนก็ย่อมต้องเปลี่ยนแปลงไปเรื่อยๆ เมื่อถึงเวลาตลาดรถประเภทนี้เมื่อไหร่ ฮอนด้าก็พร้อมที่จะทำตลาดเช่นกัน” ชินโกะ คิมาตะ กรรมการบรหารและผู้จัดการทั่วไปฝ่ายการตลาด บริษัท เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า จำกัดกล่าว
จากความเคลื่อนไหวของสองค่ายยักษ์ใหญ่รถจักรยานยนต์ในไทย โดยเฉพาะยามาฮ่าที่มีความชัดเจนแน่นอน กับการทำตลาดบิ๊กไบค์ในไทย หรือฮอนด้าที่แม้ะยังตอบแบบสงวนท่าทีอยู่ แต่ก็ยืนยันพร้อมจะทำตลาดเช่นกัน หากตลาดมีความต้องการ
เหตุนี้เมื่อรัฐบาลขิงแก่ประกาศนโยบายชัดเจน ที่จะผลักดันให้ไทยเป็นฐานการผลิตบิ๊กไบค์ของโลก ด้วยการสนับสนุนส่งเสริมเป็นกรณีพิเศษ เช่นเดียวกับอีโคคาร์ จึงน่าจะทำให้สองค่ายยักษ์ใหญ่ ที่มีโรงงานผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ในไทยใหญ่ติดอันดับต้นๆ ของโลก พร้อมที่จะตอบรับทันทีเช่นกัน

และแน่นอนแผนผลักดันดังกล่าว ย่อมต้องได้รับความสนใจจากค่ายรถยักษ์ใหญ่จากญี่ปุ่น ที่ปัจจุบันยึดตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดเล็กในไทยอยู่ เพราะก่อนหน้านี้ประกาศรุกตลาดบิ๊กไบค์แล้ว โดย “ยามาฮ่า” ลุยแน่นอนปลายปีนี้ พร้อมลงทุนกว่า 15 ล้านบาท เปิดโชว์รูมรองรับโดยเฉพาะ ขณะที่เจ้าตลาด “ฮอนด้า” แม้จะยังสงวนท่าที แต่ก็รับกำลังศึกษาแผนนำผลิตภัณฑ์ประเภทใหม่ๆ รวมถึงบิ๊กไบค์ หรือสกู๊ตเตอร์ขนาดใหญ่มาเสริมตลาดเช่นกัน
หลังจากรัฐบาลขิงแก่ภายใต้การนำของ “พล.อ.สุรยุทธ์ จุลานนท์” นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้ผลักดันโครงการรถประหยัดพลังงานมาตรฐานสากล หรืออีโคคาร์ คลอดออกมาเป็นรูปเป็นร่าง และก็มีค่ายรถ “ฮอนด้า” เด้งรับลูกประกาศลงทุนไปแล้ว ด้วยมูลค่าโครงการกว่า 6.2 พันล้านบาท และยังมีอีกหลายค่ายที่สนใจเช่นกัน เพียงแต่ต้องขอศึกษาตามกรอบเวลาที่รัฐบาลเปิดโอกาสให้ จึงยังไม่เปิดตัวออกมาชัดเจนเท่านั้น
โครงการอีโคคาร์จึงทำให้รัฐบาลขิงแก่ยิ้มแป้นทีเดียว และจะว่าไปแล้วถือเป็นผลงานชิ้นแรก ที่รัฐบาลขิงแก่ดำเนินการสำเร็จเป็นรูปธรรมชัดเจนก็ว่าได้ นี่จึงทำให้รัฐบาลขิงแก่ดูเหมือนจะคึกคักสุดขีด และเตรียมผลักดันโครงการใหม่ออกมาเสียบต่ออีโคคาร์ทันที
โดยรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่ากระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม “โฆสิต ปั้นเปี่ยมรัษฏ์” เปิดเผยภายหลังจากการเดินทางไปเยือนสหราชอาณาจักรและอิตาลี่ ระหว่างวันที่ 25-29 กรกฏคมที่ผ่านมาว่า
จากการพูดคุยกับ นายจอห์น บลัวร์ ประธานบริษัท ไทรอัมพ์ มอเตอร์ไซเคิลส์ ผู้ผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดใหญ่ หรือบิ๊กไบค์ อันดับ 7 ของโลก ภายใต้ชื่อยี่ห้อ “ไทรอัมพ์” ทราบว่าให้ความสนใจลงทุนในไทยเป็นมูลค่ากว่า 3,500 ล้านบาท ภายในระยะเวลา 3 ปี ในการสร้างโรงงานผลิตชิ้นส่วนบิ๊กไบค์ และทำการประกอบ ที่จังหวัดระยอง โดยจะเริ่มผลิตเครื่องยนต์ในปี 2551 เป็นต้นไป
"จากการลงทุนของไทรอัมพ์ดังกล่าว ทำให้รัฐบาลสนใจที่จะขยายฐานการผลิตรถบิ๊กไบค์ เพื่อให้ครบวงจรมากขึ้น จากปัจจุบันไทยเป็นฐานการผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดเล็กที่สำคัญของโลกแล้ว โดยให้นายสาธิต ชาญเชาวน์กุล เลขาธิการคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุน หรือบีโอไอ กำหนดแผนส่งเสริมการลงทนผลิตมอเตอร์ไซค์ขนาดใหญ่ ที่มีเครื่องยนต์ขนาด 500 ซีซีขึ้นไป ซึ่งทั่วโลกมีความต้องการมากกว่า 100,000 คันต่อปี"
ส่วนการกำหนดรายละเอียดการส่งเสริมการลงทุนคล้ายกับการผลิตรถยนต์อีโคคาร์ เพื่อให้ไทยเป็นฐานการผลิตรถบิ๊กไบค์ของโลก และมั่นใจว่านอกเหนือจากไทรอัมพ์แล้ว ยังมีผู้ผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ในไทยอีก 2-3 ราย ที่จะให้ความสนใจนโยบายดังกล่าว คาดว่าแผนการส่งเสริมการลงทุนจะแล้วเสร็จในเร็วๆ นี้
นั่นคือไอเดียบรรเจิดของรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีอุตสาหกรรม ซึ่งกลับมามีความมั่นใจอย่างเต็มเปี่ยม ภายหลังจากผลักดันโครงการอีโคคาร์แจ้งเกิดสำเร็จ และจะว่าไปแล้วโอกาสผลักดันโครงการบิ๊กไบค์ให้สำเร็จ ดูจะง่ายกว่าอีโคคาร์เสียด้วยซ้ำ
ทั้งนี้ปริมาณตลาดรถบิ๊กไบค์ในไทยเองก็ไม่ได้ใหญ่โตนัก การที่ไทรอัมพ์มาลงทุนผลิตชิ้นส่วนและประกอบในไทย คงน่าจะมาจากเรื่องของอัตราค่าแรงของไทยไม่สูงมาก ขณะที่ศักยภาพของผู้ผลิตชิ้นส่วนอยู่ในระดับมาตรฐานสากลอยู่แล้ว การมาตั้งโรงงานในไทยจึงมุ่งที่การส่งออกมากกว่า การชิงหักเหลี่ยมโหดของค่ายรถจักรยานยนต์เจ้าเก่าและเจ้าใหม่ จึงไม่น่าจะรุนแรงมากเหมือนกับรถยนต์ ยิ่งเมื่อรัฐบาลมีนโยบายสนับสนุนเป็นกรณีพิเศษคล้ายกับอีโคคาร์ จึงน่าจะทำให้แต่ละค่ายตอบรับด้วยดี

The 1783 cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 54-degree V-Twin sets the Boulevards C109R and C109RT up against the best in the business, so a GSX-R-derived electronic fuel injection system seems like a great solution for the two models. And so does the wide-ratio five-speed transmission.
Like the engine and gearbox, the chassis was built for the long haul. With a high-tensile double cradle steel frame and Showa suspension working on both ends (49mm forks deliver 130mm of wheel travel and a rear monoshock linked to an aluminum swingarm), these bikes are meant to offer first class accommodations.
But stopping an 838 lbs or 900 lbs (touring model) curb weight is never an easy task. That is why Suzuki uses a combined braking system. So when applying only the front brake lever, two pistons out of three will provide the needed braking power, but when applying only the rear brake, this last will be used at full capabilities and the front will intervene with a single piston. You can imagine what happens when you hit both. This may not be extracted from the world of races, but it gets the job done proudly.
The Boulevard C109RT offers a plus of comfort thanks to a tall windscreen and passenger backrest, but also decent carrying capacity thanks to a pair of leather saddlebags. The bad boy image is enhanced by the studded seat while the new for 2010 white wall tires give it a retro look as well.
MV Agusta Brutale 1090RR Kit
MV Agusta announced today a new "track only" Cannonball Kit for the Brutale 1090RR. With the new package, MV Agusta wants increasing the performance, making the bike even lighter and fully exploiting its technology.
The new Cannonball Kit includes a modified Engine Control Unit, cylinder head, camshafts, valves and exhaust system, which is manufactured completely from titanium and is completed by a low and spirited exhaust pipe. The result is an increase of 21 HP to a total of 165 HP. At 9.000 revs/min the power is 140 hp, at 10.000 it is 160 hp, a little later the maximum is reached, an absolute record for Brutale.
The new technical components enables the Brutale Cannonball to excel on the track: the exciting performance are restrained by the pure chassis and by high quality suspension components which enable the rider to enjoy easy handling and the typical pleasure of riding an MV Agusta bike.
2010 Suzuki SFV 650 Gladius
Destined to those who just approach riding, the new Gladius not only impresses through the way it looks, but with the help of a low seat (only 30.9 inches from the ground) and a fuel-injected, twin plug head engine, which is tuned for low-to-mid range torque.
Production costs were kept as low as possible and that implies a little bit of sacrifice on the weight chapter. For example, the trellis frame is made out of steel instead of aluminum. That brings a significant contribution to the 446 lbs wet weight that doesn’t do the Gladius that much good.

Confederate Motorcycles is back with their latest motorcycle post-Katrina, the P120 Fighter. Taking similar cues from the Wraith, sans the giant carbon front spars, the Fighter is made out of copious amounts of the polished hard stuff. Built around an aluminum frame, the center-piece of the bike is the machine’s 1966cc v-twin motor, making 160hp and 145lbs•ft of torque.
You can get your first glipse of the P120 Fighter at the Quail Motorsports Gathering in Carmel, California this coming August 14th, which is a part of the famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
No word on price or delivery times yet, but figure on somewhere along the lines of a donor kidney or unicorn tears. You would think for the price though, some snazier wheels would come with the package. Maybe that’s just how things are done down South.
Honda Released Five Newest Motorcycles Models
New York: Honda Company in the United States introduced five new motorcycles in 2010. Motorcycle sites such as preaching, not long ago, five motorcycles, among others Saber, Stateline, Interstate, Honda ST1300, and the Shadow RS V. Honda Product Manager Bill Savino said the motorcycle is the fifth new model.Honda Saber 1312 cc activated 52-degree V-Twin with fuel injection program. Vehicles available in black and red candy. Saber 2010 has antilock brake system (ABS) and will be available in April 2010 for U.S. $ 12,799.
For bikers who love the classic style, with Stateline Honda engine and stylish black curved frame may be an option. Stateline also supported by 52 degree 1312 cc Twin. The motorcycle will be available starting later in February with black and dark red candy for U.S. $ 11,699.
ABS version will be available for U.S. $ 12,699.
The Interstate Honda designed for long trips with wooden floors, glass front, and exclusive new custom leather-wrapped hard saddlebags. Interstate 1312 cc to be launched in February 2010 is available in black and blue pearl with a retail price of U.S. $ 12,749.
Another is Honda Shadow RS V. This vehicle is activated liquid-cooled V-Twin engine with 745 cc fuel injection program. Hospital Shadow will arrive in dealerships in March next Honda. There are a variety of colors, namely silver and white pearls. Honda Shadow V RS sells for $ 7799.
Last Honda ST1300. This bike is activated 1261 cc V4 engine with fuel injection program. Available with or without ABS, ST1300 comes with a three-way adjustable seats, customized motorized windshield, saddle bags and dual full coverage bodywork. ST1300 will be available in March later. However, the current price has not been announced

Yes, a high-speed motorcycle for three, and that's not only three people, but also three wheels ! Nick Dagostino converted his Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle into a trike, but not a conventional trike. The two rear wheels are behind each other (in-line) instead of next to each other. This way he can still use the Hayabusa's aerodynamics to obtain many speeding tickets.
On top of the three wheels, he also fitted an electronic camera in the rear and a 5" TV monitor into the tank.
Now, he has place to put two pillion passengers behind him on the motorcycle.

Wikked Customs pulled off a nice one with the Dragon Motorcycle. The name does not seem too heavy or strange for the bike, in fact, it is quite justifiable. Clearly, a good amount of design and work went into making this bike so interesting in every detail; the bright color scheme, the handlebar and the rims go very well with the design. Wheels on this dragon, look wicked enough to hold our attention and make us drool. The era of dragon riders passed long ago, but the modern Eragon could happily part with $69k to hop on the crocodile skin seat. And with that interesting design, we don’t doubt that this Dragon has a soul.

HDR
When you can’t ride your motorcycle, because it’s winter and your bike is safely tugged away in the garage, you can at least scrounge around the Internet for good motorcycle photos, right? That’s what I did last night, and here’s what I found; High dynamic range (HDR) motorcycle photos. If you don’t know what the heck HDR photos are, here’s a description from an article by Jon Meyer
“Today’s digital cameras match or slightly exceed the performance of silver halide film. Computer graphics has achieved the goal of photorealism. Now the goal is to go beyond simply matching paper and silver halide – to create display technologies which can present any visual stimuli our eyes are capable of seeing.
One area of rapid development is in dynamic range. A new crop of technologies using High Dynamic Range imaging (HDR or HDRI) aim to extend the dynamic range of digital imaging technologies way beyond traditional media.”
